I crafted the cake topper from millinery flowers, vintage papers, an antique porcelain bride and groom, and glittery pieces of vintage jewelry, all affixed to an old tin lid from one of the bride’s blue Ball jars.

Vintage details were in abundance throughout this wedding. The guests’ favors were paperweights, collages in a pink palette using vintage papers and old engravings. The table centerpieces were stacks of old books, topped with old medicine bottles and jars holding flowers and mercury glass votive holders. I brought along old sheet music—I had grabbed a stack at random from my collection—and when the sheets were laid out to decorate the cake table, they all turned out to be wedding music. A very happy accident!
